Expat Spotlight: Zuzi’s Top 3 Tips for Italy

I was born in Czech Republic. I have a degree in Public Relations. And a Masters in International Relations and Diplomacy. But who cares, right? :)

I was lucky to be able to travel a lot and in 2012 I moved to Italy. I am a blogger and photographer. My blog ‘expatinitaly.com’ has given me a chance to express my passion for Italy and share with YOU many of my photos and my advice! Follow me if YOU want to be a part of my day to day adventure.

I love traveling, exploring new places and learning new things and taking thousands of photos. But a part of that I am also a fashion addict and think there is never enough shoes and dresses in women’s wardrobe. I love fashion from the 1960’s. Tasting great food and great wine is my biggest passion. And my life’s philosophy is that a simple smile can change your day into a wonderful one! If YOU are filled with LOVE, the Universe will love you back! There is no other way around!

1) Ristorante Da O Vittorio in Recco – always amazing food. My favourite dish is Orata Ligurian style – a white fish with olives, potatoes, tomatoes and pine nuts.
2) Trattoria UGO in Genova – great deal, fab place for a lunch. Usually the price for 2 people is around 45 euro – main dish, second dish, dessert, wine, water and coffee.
3) Pizzeria Del Ponte in Recco – the best pizza! They also have a special pizza for celiac and the pizza dough is really tasty! My tip is Pizza Diabolo – spicy salami, and it is just heavenly beautiful! Of course they have also a selection of sea food and pasta.

3) Focaccia di Recco – is an oven-baked kind of pasty. Texture similar like pizza dough. It may be topped with onion or cheese. I prefer just plain one. It has it’s origin in Recco, so YOU really can get here the best of the best.
